Worker-led research & benefits experiment

The Odos Project

An early phase project listening to frontline workers. Short check-ins, long-term insight for how work and basic security could be better.

Our mission

In the long run, we want a world where access to healthcare and basic stability isn't controlled by any single employer. Odos exists to help build the evidence and worker power for that world.

Beginnings

We're starting with workers whose jobs keep everyday life running. Wheter delivery, retail, hospitality, or others and building a better picture of how work, health, and stability actually feel over time.

  • Short check-ins, by web or phone
  • No individual profiles sold or shared
  • Insights for cities, employers, and communities

How it works

1. Join the list.

Share a few basics about you and your work so we know who we're hearing from.

2. Check in.

Answer a short follow-up questionnaire or leave a quick voice note about what your workdays are really like.

3. Turn stories into signal.

We aggregate and anonymize what workers share and turn it into patterns for cities, employers, and communities but never individual dossiers.

For workers

Odos is for delivery drivers, retail and hospitality workers, warehouse staff, care workers, and anyone whose work keeps everyday life running whether you're full-time, part-time, or in-between jobs.

  • Low lift, real voice. Share quick check-ins by web or phone. No long surveys, no jargon.
  • You own your story. We don't sell individual profiles or share identifying details; we only work with de-identified patterns and quotes.
  • Shape what comes next. Your experiences help set the agenda for which problems we study and which customers we work with.

In future phases, we want this work to unlock more portable security for workers but we're starting with listening and getting the data right.

For organizations & potential customers

Odos is building a worker-led way to understand how work, health, and basic stability actually feel on the ground across time, not just in one-off surveys.

Who this is for

  • Cities and public agencies
  • Employers and platforms
  • Foundations and researchers

What you get

  • Mixed structured data + narrative check-ins from targeted worker cohorts.
  • Early, directional insights on conditions, stress, and barriers to stability.
  • Quotes and patterns suitable for strategy, policy, and product decisions but never raw, individual-level data.

Over time, we aim to become a trusted, worker-centered research institution. A place you partner with when you want to understand lived experience, not just dashboards.

About the Odos Project

Odos is a small research project with big ambitions: to help build a worker-led institution where people can contribute their lived experience and, over time, unlock more portable security starting with better data and insight, not bureaucracy.

  • Workers first. Frontline workers set the focus and own their stories; we only work with aggregated, de-identified patterns.
  • Portable stability. Long term, we want healthcare and core benefits to follow people, not just full-time jobs.
  • Many paths, shared road. "Odos" comes from the Greek word for road or path, many individual paths adding up to a shared route toward something fairer.
